Update:

I’m happy to say that writing has become far less of a challenge than it used to be. I won’t say that I find it exactly easy yet… but I’m getting there.

I want to share with you a marvellous little ebook that was written by a gentleman called Ed Lewis and was passed onto me several days ago by Travis Sago (of Bum Marketing fame). Unfortunately Ed’s site – included in the book – is no longer active but I have been assured that this little book is share-ware – it has one (good!) link of Ed’s at the end of the book so I believe this to be true. The book consists of simple, very helpful info on how to write easily and well.

And by the way, if anyone knows how to contact Ed, please let me know in the Comments box below….

“Right-click and Save” the link to download this writing tips ebook now.

During my travels around the web I’ve read so often that many people have the same challenge as I do which is the writing of articles and web content. When I made my first website several years ago I had no problem and wrote 6 enormous pages straight-off which I then proudly asked my family to go and check out. Feedback from one family member said: ‘Mum, it makes me cringe!’. (Update May 09: Reading this article again today actually made ME cringe …ah, well!). This unfortunate feedback well and truly put a spanner in the works of my new writing career!

For the past year I’ve checked every ebook, tutorial and tip that promises me I’ll be writing wonderful articles at the rate of 6 an hour that very day …but somehow it’s still not happening!

I have even written for my own use a wonderful theoretical blueprint of exactly how to write the perfect article ( I’ve done this in note form of course, not properly written up into what could be a really useful ebook ) …but knowing it in theory just isn’t enough. So my various websites have just sat there gathering dust, and I have pondered as to the reason why I have such a problem adding to their content.

In truth, I do believe it’s not that I am a completely brainless individual with nothing interesting to write about …as it happens I have thousands of things I want to write about that I think more than one person would find interesting ( my computer’s stuffed full of my notes to prove it! ) but when I think it is time to write them out properly I find that suddenly I have other jobs that just have to be done – really important things, like checking for emails, making coffee or phoning a friend – I’m sure you know the things I mean.

But this has happened so often now that I’ve finally been forced to realise that I do have a block somewhere – a ‘writer’s block’ no doubt. Mmmm… I rather like the sound of that – because if someone has the famous ‘Writer’s Block’ it must mean that they are a writer… musn’t it?

Following the recommendation of my sister, children’s author Auriel Blanche, I listened to a few words of wise guidance from a highly worthwhile gentleman called ‘Tom the Bookwright’ (of ShereSolutions.com ).

Tom is making an online name for himself by successfully dislodging the creative blocks of people who want to be able to write well. I know that Tom uses both a highly practical approach combined with a very light sprinkling of ‘spiritual/law-of-attraction’ type of thing – it makes for a great recipe.

Well, I don’t think many people read the very first post of a blog but to you clever person who managed to land on this page, I’d like to say a big Hello!

After 3 years online, I know that there are quite a number of others who struggle with small challenges – like I did - to do with the technical parts of making websites, downloading files, registering in forums, hosting, ftp-ing, sub-domains, addon domains, where to find quality free stuff… the list is long. Sometimes, these

I’ve received really great help on the internet but the journey has still been long and often really frustrating. For more about the reasons I’m making this site please read the ‘About’ page – link in the top navigation.

Wishing you all of the very best
